Coral Springs expands Fourth of July celebration at Mullins Park
Coral Springs, Florida – The City of Coral Springs is preparing for one of its largest Independence Day celebrations yet, expanding its annual Fourth of July event at Mullins Park as the nation marks a historic milestone—America’s 250th birthday.
The free community celebration will take place on Saturday, July 4, at Mullins Park, located at 10000 Ben Geiger Drive. This year’s event is set to begin earlier than in past years, opening at 4 p.m. and running into the evening with a fireworks finale scheduled for approximately 8:45 p.m., weather permitting.
City officials say the expanded schedule is designed to accommodate larger crowds and offer more activities throughout the day. The additional hour of programming is part of a broader effort to make this year’s celebration more engaging for families and visitors of all ages.
“This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday,” Mayor Scott Brook said in a statement. “We expanded the event with additional entertainment, activities, and an extra hour of fun to make this year’s celebration bigger than ever.”

Live entertainment will be a major highlight of the evening, with performances planned across the main stage near Field 2. The lineup includes The Introverts, Should Have Been a Cowboy, and headliner Absolute Bon Jovi, bringing a mix of local talent and tribute-style performances to the celebration.
Beyond the music, the event will feature a wide range of family-friendly attractions spread across the park. Organizers have planned patriotic-themed contests, interactive activities, and inflatable attractions in the designated Fun Zone on Field 6, which is expected to draw steady crowds throughout the day.
Field 7 will serve as a hub for artisan vendors, restroom facilities, and a misting station to help attendees stay cool in the summer heat. Food trucks, snack vendors, and beverage stations will be available across the park, offering a variety of dining options for guests attending the event.
For families looking for a smoother experience, the city will once again offer Express Lane access to the inflatable area. Coral Springs residents can register at city check-in tents located on Fields 3 and 6, though proof of residency is required. Parents must present identification showing a valid Coral Springs address.
Safety remains a priority during the celebration. The city is encouraging families to pick up complimentary child safety wristbands upon arrival. Parents can write contact information on the bands to help reunite families quickly if children become separated in crowded areas.
Admission and parking for the event are free, but officials are warning that parking will be limited due to expected attendance. Residents are encouraged to carpool, walk when possible, or arrive early to secure a spot. Additional parking will be available at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts and the Coral Springs Gymnasium.
With large crowds anticipated, traffic disruptions are expected throughout the evening. Coral Springs Drive will close in both directions beginning at 6 p.m., and congestion is likely after the fireworks show as attendees exit the park at the same time.
Guests planning to attend are encouraged to bring chairs, picnic blankets, and coolers to stay comfortable during the event. However, the city has made it clear that certain items are prohibited, including outside alcoholic beverages, personal fireworks, staked umbrellas, flag poles, and pets.
Alcohol will be available for purchase at designated vendor areas within the park, but consumption will be restricted to specific zones.

As Coral Springs prepares for a full day of celebration, officials say the expanded Fourth of July event is designed not only to honor Independence Day but also to mark a rare national milestone, bringing the community together for an evening of music, food, entertainment, and fireworks.
