Coral Springs prepares for the opening of its downtown art museum with a major inaugural exhibit

Coral Springs, Florida – Excitement is building in Coral Springs as city leaders have officially announced the opening exhibition dates for the highly anticipated downtown art museum. According to a recent presentation given to the Coral Springs Museum of Art board, the new art space is set to welcome visitors in April of next year, marking a major milestone in the city’s cultural development.

As part of its vision to become a leading artistic hub, the museum aims to kick off its grand opening with an “artistically significant exhibition.” In collaboration with Landau Traveling Exhibitions, officials are working to bring a high-profile collection to mark the occasion. The exhibition is scheduled to run from April 10 to July 12, 2026, promising an immersive and engaging experience for visitors.

Beyond the exciting exhibition plans, city officials also provided updates on the technical progress of the new museum space, revealing a rendering of the facility during the board meeting. The 8,100-square-foot space is located within the Cornerstone development, the city’s ambitious downtown revitalization project. The Coral Springs Community Redevelopment Agency has committed to covering an annual payment of $179,300 for the space, with a three percent increase each year. However, the total construction costs for the project have not yet been disclosed.

The new downtown art museum will serve as an extension of the existing Coral Springs Museum of Art, which will remain operational at 2855 Coral Springs Drive. The current museum will continue to offer its well-known programming and educational classes, while the new downtown location will focus on exhibitions and additional programs aimed at drawing a wider audience.

As the countdown to the grand opening begins, the city and museum officials will continue to refine plans and prepare for what promises to be a landmark moment in the region’s arts and culture scene. More details on the exhibition lineup and additional programs are expected to be released in the coming months.
