Benise celebrates 25 years of Spanish guitar and dance in Coral Springs

Coral Springs, Florida – Spanish guitarist Benise is bringing a 25th-anniversary celebration to Coral Springs later this month, with a performance that combines Spanish guitar, international music and choreographed dance.

“Benise: 25 Years of Passion” is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. The show marks a major milestone for the performer, whose stage productions have become known for mixing music and dance from different cultures.

Benise, whose name is pronounced “Buh-nes-say,” is known as “The Prince of Spanish Guitar.” During the anniversary performance, he will be joined by musicians and dancers for a production built around his Spanish guitar playing.

The show will feature a variety of musical and dance traditions. Audiences can expect Spanish flamenco, Cuban salsa, Brazilian samba, Parisian waltz and drumming as part of the performance.

Rather than focusing only on traditional Spanish guitar, the anniversary tour brings together sounds from several parts of the world. The guitar remains at the center of the production, while the musicians and dancers add different rhythms, styles and visual elements.
