Coral Springs couple accused of using senior’s credit card for $1,900 shopping spree
Coral Springs, Florida – A Coral Springs couple is facing several felony charges after police accused them of using a senior woman’s business credit card to make nearly $1,900 in unauthorized purchases at stores and businesses in the area.
Juan Dominguez, 34, and Yamika Poulard, 30, were charged September 17 with grand theft from a person 65 or older, credit card fraud, organized scheme to defraud and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to Coral Springs Police Department arrest records.
Police say the alleged transactions took place between July 29 and August 10, after the victim’s credit card was compromised.
The woman told investigators that her card had been used 26 times in Coral Springs. She initially identified seven transactions she did not authorize, with a combined value of $1,894.95, according to the arrest reports.
Investigators allege that Dominguez and Poulard first used the card at a Metro by T-Mobile store in Coral Springs on July 29.
The following day, police say the couple went shopping at Kohl’s inside Coral Square Mall and spent more than $500 on clothing. Poulard’s daughter was reportedly with them during the shopping trip.
According to investigators, the card’s tap-to-pay feature was used through the couple’s phones to make the purchases. Police also reviewed surveillance video from the store as they worked to identify the people allegedly using the compromised card.

The footage reportedly showed Dominguez and Poulard moving through Kohl’s with shopping carts filled with clothing. Investigators also said cameras captured the pair inside an elevator at the mall.
The alleged spending did not end at Kohl’s. Police said the card was also used at Zumiez inside Coral Square Mall, a nearby 7-Eleven and a Caribbean restaurant in Margate.
Investigators used surveillance footage from Kohl’s and the 7-Eleven as part of their effort to determine who was behind the transactions. Police also traced the card activity to the neighborhood where Dominguez and Poulard lived.
The investigation centered on a series of purchases that authorities say were made without the cardholder’s permission. The victim’s initial review of the account identified seven unauthorized charges, though police said the card had been used 26 times in Coral Springs.

The charges involving the couple include allegations related to the value of the property taken, the use of the credit card and an alleged organized effort to obtain goods or services without authorization. The case also includes a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor because police allege Poulard’s daughter accompanied the couple during the Kohl’s shopping trip.
Dominguez and Poulard were arrested and taken to the Broward County Main Jail following the investigation.
The allegations are based on police reports and surveillance evidence described in the arrest records. The case remains a criminal matter, and the charges are accusations against the two defendants.
