Secretary of State Cord Byrd reminds Floridians about early voting options available before the upcoming Primary Election across all 67 counties
Tallahassee, Florida – Florida voters are being reminded that they have multiple options to participate in the upcoming Primary Election as officials prepare for the start of early voting across the state.
Secretary of State Cord Byrd recently announced information about early voting opportunities ahead of Election Day, which is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The reminder is intended to help registered voters understand the different ways they can cast their ballots and make plans before the election deadline.
Florida voters can choose from three voting options: voting by mail, casting a ballot during the early voting period, or voting in person at their assigned polling location on Election Day.
“Registered Florida voters have the option to cast their ballot at a designated early voting site before election day,” said Secretary of State Cord Byrd. “All 67 counties offer early voting from August 8 – 15, but some counties offer additional days. A statewide list containing early voting locations and times for all 67 counties is available on the Division of Elections’ website.”
According to state election officials, every county in Florida will provide early voting opportunities from August 8 through August 15. However, some counties may choose to offer additional early voting days beyond the statewide minimum.
Voters who want to participate during the early voting period are encouraged to review available locations and hours before arriving. The statewide list of early voting locations and schedules is available through the Florida Division of Elections website, allowing residents to find information specific to their county.
In addition to early voting, Floridians who prefer to vote by mail still have the option to request a ballot. The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the Florida Primary Election is Thursday, August 6, 2026.
Election officials recommend that voters who need additional details about voting procedures, ballot requests, or local requirements contact their county Supervisor of Elections office. Local election offices can provide the most current information regarding polling locations, voting hours, and other election-related questions.
The Florida Division of Elections is also continuing to provide public access to election information through online updates. The division publishes daily statistics on early voting and vote-by-mail participation based on reports submitted by county Supervisors of Elections.
State officials say these updates allow residents to follow voter participation trends while providing transparency throughout the election process.
With the Primary Election approaching, Secretary Byrd is encouraging Floridians to make a voting plan early, whether they choose to vote by mail, participate during early voting, or cast their ballot on Election Day.
