Coral Springs shares July 2026 commission message with residents

Coral Springs, Florida – July in Coral Springs arrives with a full calendar of public gatherings, celebrations, and civic updates, as the city encourages residents to take part in events that highlight community spirit, local history, and outdoor recreation.

The month opens with one of the most anticipated traditions of the year — the annual Fourth of July Celebration at Mullins Park, located at 10000 Ben Geiger Drive. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, July 4, starting at 4 p.m., and organizers say it will run with an extended hour of programming compared to previous years.

Residents can expect an evening filled with live music, food trucks, family activities, and contests leading up to a fireworks display scheduled for 8:45 p.m. Three bands will perform on the main stage near Field Two, including the featured headliner ‘Absolute Bon Jovi Tribute Band.’ Admission and parking will be free, making the event widely accessible to families across the city.

City officials are also encouraging attendees to stay informed about real-time traffic and weather updates. Residents can receive alerts by texting the keyword CSFIREWORKS to 888-777, a service designed to help manage large crowds and ensure safety during the celebration.

Just a few days later, Coral Springs will mark another milestone — the city’s 63rd birthday on July 10. The anniversary highlights more than six decades of growth and community development since the city’s founding.

To celebrate, residents are invited to visit the Museum of Coral Springs History on Thursday, July 10, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event is designed for families and summer camps, offering free goodie bags for children, light snacks, and hands-on activities that explore the city’s past. Officials say the celebration is intended to bring residents closer to the story of how Coral Springs developed into the community it is today.

For those looking for additional activities throughout the month, city officials direct residents to CoralSprings.gov/events, where a full schedule of July programming is available.

Art and culture will also take center stage at the Coral Springs Museum of Art, located at 2855 Coral Springs Drive. On Saturday, July 11, the museum will host “Uncorked: Paint ‘n Sip,” a social painting experience running from 5 to 7 p.m. Participants will be guided through a canvas painting session while enjoying a relaxed, social atmosphere. Tickets are priced at $20 for museum members and $30 for non-members, with advance registration required online.

Beyond individual events, July is also recognized nationally as Parks and Recreation Month, and Coral Springs is using the occasion to highlight its extensive network of parks, trails, and recreational programs. From playgrounds and sports leagues to walking and jogging paths, city officials say residents have many opportunities to stay active and enjoy the outdoors throughout the summer.

Throughout the month, the city’s PLAY initiative will also be active on social media, showcasing parks and recreational facilities that serve as key community spaces. The goal, officials say, is to encourage residents to explore local amenities and engage in healthy, outdoor lifestyles.

In addition to celebrations and recreation, the Coral Springs City Commission will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, July 2 at 5:15 p.m. The meeting, held in the Chambers at City Hall located at 9500 West Sample Road, will focus on setting the TRIM (Truth In Millage) rate, an important step in the city’s budget and taxation process.

Residents are invited to attend the meeting in person or watch remotely through CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, and 725, as well as AT&T U-Verse Channel 99. The meeting will also be live-streamed online. Those wishing to provide public comment can do so by completing an official form.
City officials continue to emphasize transparency and accessibility in local government, encouraging residents to participate in meetings and stay informed about decisions affecting the community.

With fireworks, cultural events, civic meetings, and recreational programs all packed into the month, Coral Springs is positioning July 2026 as a period of both celebration and community involvement, offering residents multiple ways to connect with their city.
