Coral Springs Museum of Art to relocate to downtown Cornerstone development with grand opening planned for summer 2026

Coral Springs, Florida – The Coral Springs Museum of Art is preparing to make a major move that city officials say will put the gallery at the heart of downtown Coral Springs. The museum, which has been located at 2855 Coral Springs Drive, is set to relocate to the new Cornerstone development at the intersection of University Drive and Sample Road. The move is expected to be completed through August, with the gallery opening its doors in the summer of 2026.

City officials explained that the relocation is intended to make the museum more accessible and visible to the public. The new site is part of a growing downtown area filled with shops, public spaces, and cultural attractions, which officials hope will draw larger crowds and elevate the gallery’s profile.

“The move is meant to raise the museum’s profile and bring more visitors to the gallery,” city officials said, highlighting the potential for increased engagement with local residents and tourists alike.

The project is valued at approximately $3.4 million. Funding comes from multiple sources, including about $2 million from the city’s capital budget, $1 million from the Community Redevelopment Agency’s capital fund, and roughly $500,000 from landlord and tenant allowances. City leaders emphasized that this investment reflects the importance of art and culture in community development and urban revitalization.

Once the museum relocates, the current gallery building will be repurposed as a rental venue for events such as weddings, parties, and community gatherings. Officials noted that this shift will create a new revenue stream for the city while allowing the museum to thrive in a more prominent location.

The relocation also provides opportunities for the museum to expand its programming, host larger exhibitions, and engage with the public in new ways. City leaders said the downtown location will allow for stronger partnerships with local businesses, cultural organizations, and community events, fostering a more vibrant arts district.

Updates on the move and details about the opening celebration will be shared by the museum on its website and social media platforms. Residents are encouraged to follow the museum online for the latest information as the project progresses.

With the move to downtown Coral Springs, city officials hope the museum will become a central hub for art, education, and community engagement. By positioning the gallery in a bustling, accessible area, the city aims to make art more visible and part of everyday life for residents and visitors alike.

The Coral Springs Museum of Art’s relocation marks a new chapter for the city’s cultural landscape, combining investment in the arts with urban development and community revitalization. The summer 2026 opening is expected to be a major milestone for the museum and the downtown area, signaling exciting growth for both the local arts scene and the city as a whole.
