Coral Springs prepares to honor local veterans with special ceremony and patriotic concert this November

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs is gearing up to honor veterans this November with a series of special events, including a morning ceremony and a patriotic community concert, designed to recognize the sacrifices of those who have served in the armed forces.

On Veterans Day, November 11, seating for the ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at Veterans Park, located at 8601 Royal Palm Boulevard. The ceremony itself is scheduled to start at 10:45 a.m., offering a heartfelt opportunity for the community to pay tribute to local veterans. City officials have noted that in the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Coral Springs Gymnasium at 2501 Coral Springs Drive, ensuring the program can proceed without interruption.

Earlier in the week, Coral Springs will kick off celebrations with a patriotic community concert on Friday, November 7, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at City Hall. The event is designed to honor veterans while offering families an evening of entertainment and community connection. Headlining the concert is Hotel California – The Original Eagles Tribute, with Life in Technicolor – A Tribute to Coldplay opening the show.

“Veterans and their families are invited to a special VIP area with free refreshments, commemorative lanyards, and gifts,” city organizers said. The evening will also feature an honor walk to recognize local veterans for their service, adding a personal touch to the celebration. In addition, attendees can participate in a letter-writing station to send messages of support and gratitude to active-duty service members currently serving overseas.

Food trucks will be on hand to provide a variety of options for concertgoers. Participating vendors include Playa Bowls, The Greek Gyro Truck, Steve’s Wood Fired Pizza, Dimelo Papi Pinchos, That’s My Dog, Let’s Chill Ice Cream, and The Lemon Squeeze, offering something for every taste. Guests are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and lawn chairs, and free parking will be available at the City Hall garage. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

For those needing special accommodations, residents are asked to call 954-344-1111 or email [email protected] at least five days before the events.

With both the morning ceremony and evening concert, Coral Springs is providing multiple ways for the community to recognize the courage, commitment, and contributions of its veterans. From the solemn moments at Veterans Park to the lively music and festive atmosphere at City Hall, these events are set to create lasting memories for families while honoring those who have served the nation.
