Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber prepares to celebrate community excellence with a festive Derby-themed gala honoring local businesses

Coral Springs, Florida – The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for one of its most anticipated events of the year — a night that blends southern charm with local pride. On Friday, Oct. 24, the Chamber will host its Annual Gala at the elegant Deer Creek Golf and Country Club, complete with a Kentucky Derby theme, red carpet entrances, and plenty of festive Derby hats.
The annual celebration brings together some of the most influential names in the community, from small business owners and civic leaders to elected officials and dedicated volunteers. It’s an evening that goes beyond social networking — it’s a chance to recognize the people and organizations that have strengthened the local economy and enhanced community life.
At the heart of the event are the Chamber’s Best of the Best Awards, which highlight exceptional individuals and organizations whose work exemplifies leadership, innovation, and service. This year’s honorees represent a diverse group, each making a lasting mark in their field.
Among the award recipients, Let’s Chill will be recognized as the Coral Springs Small Business of the Year, while IMX Pilates will take home the Coconut Creek Small Business of the Year title. The Workforce Development Award will go to Junior Achievement of South Florida, an organization that continues to empower students with real-world business education. Gillian Johnson will receive the Covered Bridge Award, Linda Rondinone will be honored with the Butterfly Award, and The Motherhood Village will be celebrated as this year’s Rookie of the Year.
“Our honorees represent the very best of what our community stands for—innovation, leadership, and a deep commitment to working together,” said Charinus Davis, CEO of the Chamber, in a news release. “It’s an honor to celebrate their contributions and recognize how they help shape a stronger future for us all.”
The Kentucky Derby theme will bring an extra layer of excitement and style to the evening. Guests are encouraged to don their best Derby attire — from bright, bold dresses to classic bow ties and statement hats — as they enjoy fine dining, live entertainment, and the camaraderie that defines the Chamber’s annual gala.
The event also serves as a reminder of the power of collaboration in local business growth. The Chamber’s work throughout the year supports entrepreneurs, fosters partnerships, and promotes economic development across both Coral Springs and Coconut Creek.
This year’s gala is made possible thanks to generous sponsors, including Amera, Lou Bachrodt Automotive Group, Florida Power & Light Company, Fiserv, Comcast Business, Sunsure Insurance, the City of Coral Springs, the City of Coconut Creek, Chen Moore and Associates, and IMX Pilates.
As the community prepares to celebrate in true Derby style, the event promises not just an evening of glamour and recognition, but also a heartfelt tribute to the resilience and spirit that keep Coral Springs and Coconut Creek thriving.
