Governor Ron DeSantis dedicates a two-mile portion of Clearwater Trail as the Hulk Hogan Trail in Pinellas County to honor the wrestling legend

Clearwater, Florida – Governor Ron DeSantis paid tribute to the life and legacy of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan by officially dedicating a two-mile section of the Clearwater Trail in Pinellas County as the “Hulk Hogan Trail.” The dedication ceremony celebrated Hogan’s contributions to both the wrestling world and the local community and highlighted the impact he had on generations of fans and residents in the Tampa Bay area.
“Today, I was joined by family and friends of Hulk Hogan to celebrate his extraordinary life and legacy,” Governor DeSantis said. “It was an honor to be in Pinellas County this morning to dedicate a two-mile portion of the Clearwater Trail as the ‘Hulk Hogan Trail.’ Although he is no longer with us, Hulk Hogan’s legacy continues to live on, especially in the Tampa Bay area that he called home.”
The official proclamation signed by Governor DeSantis designates a two-mile stretch of the Clearwater Trail on State Road 60 as the Hulk Hogan Trail. This section of the trail is being enhanced with specially designed exercise equipment and signage in Hogan’s signature red and yellow colors. The new features aim to encourage fitness and recreation for people of all ages. Equipment being installed includes an inclined bench, parallel bars, double monkey bars, double push-up bars, and a multi-use exercise unit. The installations are currently in progress, with completion expected in the coming weeks.
Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, passed away on July 24, 2025. He launched his professional wrestling career in 1977 and went on to become one of the most recognizable figures in sports entertainment.
