Following a string of smashed car windows in Coral Springs, four arrested after intense investigation and multi-agency operation

Coral Springs, Florida – A coordinated multi-agency operation led to the arrest of four individuals in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries that targeted neighborhoods in Coral Springs. The arrests come after a string of crimes in which dozens of vehicles were broken into over the course of just two days.
The investigation began on the morning of March 23, when Coral Springs Police responded to reports of 13 vehicle burglaries in two local neighborhoods. The suspects reportedly smashed car windows to gain access to the vehicles, prompting the city’s Burglary Enforcement and Reduction Unit to launch an immediate investigation. The police department shared the news of the break-ins on social media, detailing their swift response and commitment to tackling the crime.
Working quickly, detectives identified a suspected crew member believed to be involved in similar vehicle burglaries across Broward County. The Coral Springs Police Department then partnered with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team and the Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s Gun Intelligence Unit to track down the suspects. Their collaborative efforts focused on locating the group, which was linked to multiple break-ins in the region.
The operation took a significant turn when, on March 25, the group is believed to have struck again, this time in Fort Lauderdale. The following night, March 26, the suspects returned to Coral Springs and committed another 16 vehicle burglaries around 2:00 a.m., further increasing the urgency of the investigation.
Thanks to the combined efforts of Coral Springs Police, Broward Sheriff’s Office, and Fort Lauderdale Police, the suspects’ vehicle was located and pursued. Officers utilized a Grappler Police Bumper, a device designed to safely disable vehicles, to stop the suspects’ car in North Lauderdale. The operation resulted in the arrest of four individuals, though additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
Coral Springs Police are reminding residents to take precautions in light of the recent crimes. “Remove valuables from your cars and lock your doors to help prevent future break-ins,” the department advised in a statement.
The arrests mark a significant victory in the fight against vehicle burglaries in Coral Springs, thanks to the collaborative efforts of local and county law enforcement. As the investigation moves forward, authorities are expected to release more details about the individuals arrested and any further charges related to the spree of thefts.
