Sunbeam Polar Express brings toys for underprivileged children to Miramar Police station

Miramar, Florida – Santa Claus made a brief stop from his North Pole duties to join a festive Christmas caravan in South Florida.
On Wednesday, the festive spirit of Santa Claus brought joy to the streets of Miramar as part of a beloved tradition.
The Sunbeam Polar Express is set to deliver the joy of Christmas to underserved children for the ninth consecutive year.
A police escort accompanied a procession of sleighs transporting gifts from a donation station to the Miramar City Hall and Police Department.
On Wednesday morning, a large collection of toys and a variety of bicycles were gathered together.
Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss announced that he will be distributing gifts this year, marking a refreshing shift in tradition.
“Law enforcement frequently responds to challenging circumstances, and we typically interact with individuals caught in distressing situations, which is not always a positive experience,” he stated. “This presents a valuable chance to observe the advantages of our efforts from a new perspective.”
The businesses at the Miramar Park of Commerce generously donated all of the toys.
Entities such as Sunbeam Properties are involved in the organization. According to Development Vice President Ryan Goggins, hosting the event creates a memorable impact.
“Last year, I had the chance to ride along with the Miramar Police Department and hand out toys to the community. The joy on the kids’ faces when they received the generously donated toys was priceless and will stay with me for many years,” Goggins remarked.
Authorities stated that their actions positively impact the community and provide hope to those who require it the most.
“We are contributing, we are gathering, we are transforming lives.” “Our goal is to bring a bit of joy to children’s lives, especially during the Christmas season,” stated Mark Hattabaugh, senior chaplain of the Miramar Police.
Officers such as Brent Steffan from the Miramar Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 189 understand the significance of this for children, and they dedicate themselves to this joyful mission annually.
“Our primary goal is to bring joy to the children in the community.” Steffan expressed, “Our goal is to engage with the community alongside Santa, bringing gifts and sharing a message of joy and tranquility during the Christmas season.”
On December 18, gifts will be distributed throughout Miramar.
