Coral Springs gym disturbance leads to arrest over alleged assaults on three relatives
Coral Springs, Florida – A police response to a disturbance at a Coral Springs gym led to the arrest of a woman accused of attacking three relatives, including a 70-year-old woman.
Theresa Kay Brown, 43, of Coral Springs, was arrested Oct. 13 after officers were called to EOS Gym at 2322 North University Drive. An employee had asked police to have her trespassed from the property, according to Coral Springs Police Department arrest records.
Officers reported that Brown appeared extremely agitated, was sweating heavily and swayed while speaking with them. The arrest affidavit also alleges that she shouted profanities at people entering and leaving the gym.

During the encounter, Brown repeatedly told officers that her brother had battered her and requested a police response to that incident, according to the affidavit.
The responding officer suspected she might be under the influence, citing her behavior, physical appearance and previous encounters with her. That suspicion was the officer’s assessment; the information provided did not establish whether she had used any substance.
Police followed up on Brown’s allegations by going to her mother’s residence to speak with the relatives involved. Those interviews brought forward allegations of a confrontation inside the home before the gym encounter.
