“We Three Kings” brings Irish dance and Christmas music to Coral Springs on December 19

Coral Springs, Florida – A holiday story told through Irish dance and music is heading to the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. “We Three Kings, The Irish Dance Christmas Sensation” will take the stage Saturday, December 19, at 7:30 p.m., bringing a cast of 20 Irish dancers and musicians to the city.

Justin Boros, a former lead dancer in Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance,” will produce, direct and star in the performance. The family-oriented show combines a Christmas adventure with Irish dance, theatrical lighting and an original cinematic score that includes reimagined holiday classics.

The story takes inspiration from the journey of the Three Magi, then introduces a threat to their mission. The kings encounter an evil Sugar Plum Fairy and her soldiers, who plan to destroy the Christmas spirit and steal the kingdom’s crown.

That conflict gives the production its central adventure. Dance, music and storytelling carry the kings through a holiday tale that places familiar Christmas figures alongside a new theatrical challenge.

For Boros, the show continues a career that started far from a professional stage. Before touring as an Irish dancer, he was a high school basketball player in Akron, Ohio. His interest in dance began at age 15 after he watched “Lord of the Dance” on PBS.

He began teaching himself the steps with VHS tapes, using his parents’ basement as a practice space. About a year and a half after that first television viewing, he auditioned for the production that had inspired him.

According to the show’s producers, Boros became one of only three American dancers performing in “Lord of the Dance” worldwide at the time. He later took on a lead role and toured throughout the Americas.

His work eventually expanded beyond performing in that production. Boros also worked with and created other Irish dance shows that toured theaters across North America and headlined the Music Master Series at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

In 2020, he appeared in a different kind of competition, taking part in NBC’s “The Titan Games.” His upcoming Coral Springs performance brings the focus back to dance, with Boros handling both creative responsibilities and an onstage role.

“I discovered my passion and gift at the young age of 15,” Boros said. “It is my duty and responsibility to share this gift with others to inspire and bring more joy into the world.”

“We Three Kings” brings those ambitions into a seasonal production built for family audiences. Its musical approach pairs an original score with new interpretations of Christmas classics, while lighting and choreography help tell the story of the kings’ encounter with the Sugar Plum Fairy.

The December 19 performance gives Coral Springs audiences an opportunity to see Boros alongside the show’s dancers and musicians in a holiday setting. The combination of a story-driven production and Irish dance is at the center of the evening.
