Ellie Madej succeeds her mother as Coral Glades cheer head coach marking a new era for sideline and competitive cheer programs at the school

Coral Springs, Florida – A familiar name is now leading Coral Glades cheer into its next chapter, as graduate Ellie Madej has officially been named head coach of both the sideline and competitive cheer programs. The appointment marks a notable transition for the program, as she steps into the role previously held by her mother, longtime coach Alison Madej.
For Ellie, the moment carries both personal meaning and professional responsibility. Returning to the program where she once competed as a student, she now takes on the task of guiding a new generation of athletes through the same hallways and practice floors that shaped her own path.

“It’s really exciting to officially step into the head coach role at Coral Glades and follow in my mom’s footsteps,” Ellie said. “As an alumna of the program, it’s special to return to the place that helped shape me as both an athlete and a person.”

Her connection to cheerleading goes back nearly her entire life. Ellie began participating in the sport at around the age of 3, gradually progressing through competitive levels as she grew. By the time she reached high school, she was already a key part of the Coral Glades program, competing from 2016 to 2020 in both sideline and competitive cheer.

During her high school career, she became a three-time state champion, helping establish a strong competitive presence for the Jaguars. Even after graduating, her involvement with the program never fully stopped. While attending college, she returned during spring breaks to assist with team activities and support coaching efforts whenever possible.
