Teacher Appreciation Week brings free meals, shopping discounts, and special offers to educators in Coral Springs

Coral Springs, Florida – Teachers in Coral Springs are being recognized this week with a variety of discounts, giveaways, and special offers as businesses at The Walk at University join in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week.

From restaurants and fitness studios to flower shops and healthcare providers, several businesses throughout the shopping and dining destination are offering exclusive deals to educators who present a valid school ID.

The annual celebration, observed nationwide from May 4 through May 8, is meant to recognize teachers for the work they do inside classrooms and their continued dedication to students and schools. This year, participating businesses at The Walk are extending that appreciation in practical ways, offering everything from free meals to major service discounts.

Among the businesses taking part is 4 Rivers Smokehouse, which is giving teachers, nurses, and EMS workers a free sandwich on Wednesday, May 6, with valid identification. The offer adds another layer of appreciation by also recognizing frontline healthcare and emergency service workers.

Fitness studio JETSET Pilates is offering teachers 15% off membership rates during the appreciation week, while sushi restaurant Phat Boy Sushi is providing educators with 10% off dine-in food orders.

Other participating businesses are focusing on wellness and personal services. Smile Clinic is offering teachers 40% off all services, one of the larger discounts available during the event.

Meanwhile, Wildflowers of Parkland is extending a 15% discount on flower orders placed between May 1 and May 9. The promotion also applies to Mother’s Day phone orders when customers use the code “TeachersRock.”

The weeklong event highlights how local businesses often step in to support educators beyond the classroom, especially during nationally recognized appreciation events. For many teachers, the discounts serve as a small but meaningful acknowledgment of the time and energy invested throughout the school year.

Teacher Appreciation Week has become an annual tradition across the United States, with schools, businesses, and communities organizing special events, gifts, and promotions aimed at celebrating educators. In many areas, restaurants and retailers use the occasion to provide free food, discounts, or giveaways to teachers as a public thank-you for their work.

Organizers at The Walk encourage educators planning to take advantage of the promotions to bring a valid school ID, as proof of employment is required for most offers.
