Coral Springs residents served by Royal Waterworks advised to boil water after equipment malfunctions cause loss of water pressure at local treatment plant

Coral Springs, Florida – A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents in parts of Coral Springs who receive water from Royal Waterworks following equipment malfunctions at a local water treatment plant. The notice comes after several pumps and a programmable logic controller failed on Monday afternoon, leading to a loss of water pressure in the affected areas.

According to Royal Waterworks, the equipment failure disrupted the normal operation of the plant, prompting the need for a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of the water supply. City officials confirmed the malfunction and released a statement on social media, urging residents to take necessary precautions while repairs are underway.

The utility company is actively working to resolve the issue, with crews currently ordering and installing new pumps and other required materials to restore the water system to full functionality. Until the problem is fixed, Royal Waterworks is advising customers to boil all water before using it for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth.
