A man is confronted with multiple felony charges following a violent altercation outside a motel in Coral Springs
Coral Springs, Florida – A man is confronting multiple felony charges after a domestic dispute occurred outside a Studio Six motel in Coral Springs.
On November 24, police in Coral Springs were dispatched to a domestic battery incident in the vicinity of the 5400 block of North University Drive following a 911 call that reported “someone busted their head open.”
CSPD officers arrived to find a man, identified as Stevie Spicy, 27, from Fort Lauderdale, who was shouting and crossing the street close to Westview Drive.
Records indicate that officers observed a victim fleeing across the street from Spicy, displaying visible head injuries. Additionally, a witness informed the police, stating, “That’s who hit them,” while directing their attention toward Spicy.
The individual, who suffered a head laceration, received immediate care at the scene from rescue personnel for the injury to their head.
The victim informed law enforcement during treatment that the conflict started in their room at the Studio Six motel and intensified outside in the parking lot.
In the course of the altercation, Spicy reportedly struck the victim and brandished a handgun while making threats to their life, allegedly declaring, “I’ll kill your ass in here,” before continuing to punch them in the head as the confrontation moved into the parking lot.
Documents indicate that a search of Spicy’s backpack uncovered 67.44 grams of cannabis organized in 14 baggies, 11.32 grams of cocaine separated into 86 individual baggies, and a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun containing five .40 caliber rounds, with one round in the chamber.
Spicy was found in possession of drugs and a firearm within 1,000 feet of Imagine Charter School, situated at 9001 Westview Drive, leading to further charges being filed.
CSPD conducted a background check at the scene, revealing that Spicy is a convicted felon and is therefore not legally allowed to possess a firearm.
Spicy has been taken to the Broward County Main Jail.
