Corey Collins moves his pet businesses to Coral Springs to provide better nutrition and dental care for dogs and cats

Coral Springs, Florida – After decades in the high-pressure world of corporate auto sales, Corey Collins has steered his career in a new direction — one aimed at improving the health and wellness of pets across Coral Springs and South Florida. Collins recently relocated his natural pet supply store, PetNmind, along with his mobile pet dental service, Bright N’ Shine, from Coconut Creek to 8015 W. Sample Road in Coral Springs. The move marks a significant expansion for Collins’ operations and a step forward in his mission to provide preventive care for dogs and cats.

Collins has owned both businesses for more than four years, emphasizing the idea that preventive care is the foundation of long-term pet wellness. “Dental health affects the whole body,” Collins said. “And nutrition is the foundation. If we can improve those two things, we can help pets live longer, healthier lives.” PetNmind focuses on high-quality nutrition, offering dry, wet, frozen, raw, and freeze-dried foods. The store also provides nutritional guidance tailored to a pet’s life stage, breed, and individual health concerns.

Meanwhile, Bright N’ Shine delivers mobile, non-anesthetic dental cleanings directly to customers’ homes. By removing plaque and tartar without sedation, the service provides a safer and less stressful alternative to traditional veterinary dental procedures. Collins says the combination of proper nutrition and consistent dental care is key to promoting overall health and longevity in pets.

Collins’ passion for pets grew out of personal experience and research. “I have two dogs and I love pets,” he said, referring to his silver Yorkshire terriers. “The more I learned about what’s in a lot of commercial pet food, the more I realized there was a need for better options.” Born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, Collins moved to South Florida in 1997 and spent years building a career in corporate auto sales. But after navigating economic downturns and the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, he wanted a career that offered stability and personal fulfillment. “I couldn’t let my family depend on corporate America,” Collins said.

His interest in the pet industry was sparked while running a Little League program in Coconut Creek, where he noticed families treating their pets as true members of the household. That observation, combined with his own research into nutrition and preventive care, inspired Collins to launch his businesses focused on overall pet wellness.

The new Coral Springs location includes $15 self-dog-wash stations stocked with shampoo and supplies, giving pet owners a convenient way to bathe their dogs on-site. The store also offers a customer rewards program, 24-hour online ordering, in-store pickup, and free delivery within a five-mile radius.

Beyond his business ventures, Collins is committed to community support through the Collins Pet Foundation, which he launched last year. The nonprofit provides food and dental care for animals in local shelters and creates volunteer opportunities for students and community members interested in giving back. To support the foundation, Collins is hosting a fundraiser on February 21, 2026, in partnership with Priya’s Roti Shop, located just a few doors down from PetNmind. Plates are $20, including sides and a drink, with pickup available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and proceeds will benefit shelter animals and foundation programs.

Through these initiatives, Collins has combined entrepreneurship, personal passion, and community service, creating a model for holistic pet wellness in South Florida. With the Coral Springs relocation, PetNmind and Bright N’ Shine are better positioned to serve local residents while advancing the goal of healthier, longer-living pets.

Pet owners and community members can learn more about the services offered by visiting petnmind.com, Bright N’ Shine online, or by calling 954-420-1122. The Coral Springs location at 8015 W. Sample Road now serves as a hub for nutrition, preventive care, and community engagement, highlighting Collins’ commitment to pets and their families across the region.
