The Walk in Coral Springs launches new Sunday Sessions live music series featuring local bands and outdoor performances
Coral Springs, Florida – The Walk at University in Coral Springs is adding a new reason for residents to linger a little longer on weekends with the launch of a live music series designed to blend local entertainment with relaxed outdoor dining. The series, called Sunday Sessions, begins this weekend and will take place on select Sundays in the months ahead.
Organizers say the goal is simple: create a laid-back gathering spot where people can enjoy live music while supporting local restaurants and businesses. Performances will be held in the courtyard at The Walk, giving the space a casual, open-air feel that fits well with midday plans.
Sunday Sessions kicks off from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, featuring Dr. K & the Co-Pays. The five-piece band is known for covering classic rock favorites along with Motown hits, offering a familiar sound meant to appeal to a wide audience. The performance is expected to set the tone for the series, combining upbeat music with a comfortable, community-focused atmosphere.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair and make an afternoon of it. With several dining options nearby, attendees can grab brunch or lunch and enjoy the music without feeling rushed. The early afternoon time slot is intended to attract families, couples, and anyone looking for an easygoing way to spend part of their Sunday.
The series will continue into the spring with additional performances already scheduled. On March 8, the courtyard will host LiveFeed, a rock band based in Boca Raton. Known for energetic sets, the group is expected to bring a different edge to the lineup while keeping the relaxed Sunday format intact.
Another concert is planned for April 12, when the Krush Party Band takes the stage. The band describes itself as an elite party and dance band, suggesting a more high-energy performance that could turn the courtyard into a lively afternoon gathering spot.
The Walk at University is located at 2750 N. University Drive in Coral Springs and has become a popular destination for dining, shopping, and casual meetups. With the addition of Sunday Sessions, organizers hope to further strengthen its role as a community hub.
While the schedule is currently limited to select Sundays, the early response may shape future plans. For now, Sunday Sessions offers a new way for residents to enjoy live music, good food, and a relaxed outdoor setting right in the heart of Coral Springs.
