Coral Springs–Parkland Democratic Club plans Feb. 5 meeting with guest speaker Jennifer Jenkins focusing on education and community issues
Coral Springs, Florida – The Coral Springs–Parkland Democratic Club is preparing to welcome members and local residents for its next monthly gathering, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. The meeting will bring together Democrats and community members for updates on local issues, open discussion and a featured presentation from a nationally recognized guest speaker.
Organizers say the evening is designed to encourage civic engagement while offering attendees a chance to hear directly from voices shaping conversations around education and community involvement. Those interested in attending are required to register in advance through the club’s website, CoralSpringsParklandFLDemocraticClub.com. Once registered, participants will receive the meeting location details.
The program will begin with a welcome and opening remarks from club leadership, who are expected to provide updates on recent activities and upcoming initiatives. Following the opening portion, the focus of the evening will shift to the guest presentation by Jennifer Jenkins.
Jenkins is an educator and mother who gained national attention after winning a school board race in a traditionally conservative district, defeating the co-founder of Moms for Liberty. Her campaign and victory drew widespread interest as debates over public education, parental involvement and political influence in schools intensified across the country.
After her election, Jenkins went on to help launch Educated We Stand, a grassroots organization that supports public education and works to address the impact of political extremism on schools and families nationwide. Through the organization, she has focused on advocacy, community organizing and amplifying the voices of parents and educators.
Club leaders say Jenkins’ experience offers valuable insight into how local school board races can carry national significance. Her presentation is expected to touch on her journey as a candidate, the challenges she faced and the broader lessons learned about community engagement and protecting public education.
The Coral Springs–Parkland Democratic Club regularly hosts speakers and discussions aimed at informing and energizing local residents. Meetings are open to those interested in learning more about Democratic causes and staying involved in civic issues affecting the region.
With education continuing to be a major topic of conversation in Florida and beyond, organizers say the Feb. 5 meeting provides an opportunity for thoughtful dialogue and connection. Community members are encouraged to register early and take part in the discussion as the club continues its mission of engagement and advocacy.
