Big Whiskey’s American restaurant and bar set to open in downtown Coral Springs this year

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs residents will soon have a new dining option in the heart of the city as Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant and Bar prepares to open in the downtown Cornerstone development. City Manager Catherine Givens confirmed the news during a recent meeting of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the continued growth of the city’s dining and entertainment scene.
The restaurant will be located in the south tower of the mixed-use Cornerstone complex, at the southwest corner of Sample Road and North University Drive. It will join other upcoming eateries that aim to bring more variety and vibrancy to downtown Coral Springs. “This is an exciting addition to our downtown development and will provide another destination for residents and visitors alike,” Givens said.
Currently, the south tower is home to Tacocraft, which has already opened its doors, while How You Dough’n?, a planned eatery, is set to join the lineup. The north tower of Cornerstone is also seeing considerable activity, with several businesses slated to open, including Gary Rack’s Farmhouse, Mitch’s Downtown Bagel Café, Let’s Chill Homemade Ice Cream, Copenhagen Corner Wine Bar, and Paris Baguette. In addition, Tremble Fitness and the Coral Springs Museum of Art will also occupy space in the north tower, expanding both fitness and cultural offerings in the area.
The Coral Springs location will mark the 23rd Big Whiskey’s restaurant nationwide. The chain currently has locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, and Oklahoma, with only one other Florida location in Davie. Known for its casual dining atmosphere, Big Whiskey’s offers a menu that includes a wide variety of American favorites such as chicken wings, chicken tenders, soups, salads, seafood, ribs, and steaks. The restaurant is designed to appeal to families, friends, and groups looking for a relaxed place to eat and unwind.
While the company has not announced an official opening date for the Coral Springs location, excitement is building among locals eager to experience the new restaurant. City leaders see this addition as part of a broader effort to create a vibrant and attractive downtown district, offering residents more reasons to visit and enjoy the area.
With multiple restaurants, a fitness center, and cultural attractions coming to Cornerstone, downtown Coral Springs is shaping up to become a hub for both dining and entertainment. Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant and Bar is expected to play a central role in that transformation, contributing to the ongoing revitalization of the city’s core.
