Coral Springs coach at Deerfield Beach Christian School arrested for multiple sex crimes involving students

Coral Springs, Florida – A Coral Springs man who served as an assistant athletic coach at a Christian school in Deerfield Beach has been arrested on multiple sex crime charges after authorities say he molested two students. The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) reported that 24-year-old Ronison Exavier was taken into custody at his home on Monday, October 20.

Investigators with BSO’s Special Victims Unit revealed that the arrest followed reports of lewd and lascivious conduct at Highlands Christian Academy. One victim’s family contacted law enforcement after learning that Exavier had summoned their child to his office on October 15 and inappropriately touched her. During the investigation, a second student came forward, reporting similar incidents — one occurring in the fall of 2024 and another in July 2025.

Exavier now faces serious charges, including three counts of soliciting or engaging in sexual conduct with a student, two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation or conduct, and two counts of touch or strike battery, according to BSO. The sheriff’s office emphasized the severity of the case due to Exavier’s position of trust working with students and warned that there may be additional victims.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about Exavier’s conduct to come forward. BSO Detective Eric Wilson can be reached at 954-321-4460. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Broward Crime Stoppers by calling 954-493-TIPS (8477), online at browardcrimestoppers.org, by dialing **TIPS (8477) from any cellphone, or using the SaferWatch App.

“This is a troubling case that underscores the importance of vigilance and prompt reporting when it comes to protecting students,” said a BSO spokesperson. “We are committed to ensuring that anyone who has been victimized or has information about these incidents can safely report it to us.”

The arrest has sent shockwaves through the Highlands Christian Academy community, where parents and staff are grappling with the revelations. The school has not publicly commented on the situation, but officials confirmed that appropriate steps have been taken to ensure student safety while cooperating with law enforcement.

BSO emphasized that the Special Victims Unit handles sensitive cases like these with thorough investigations and support for victims. Families and students affected by similar incidents are encouraged to reach out to law enforcement and community resources for assistance.

Authorities noted that cases involving sexual misconduct by individuals in positions of trust are treated with the utmost seriousness. “Given Exavier’s access to students as a coach, it’s critical that anyone who may have been affected comes forward,” the spokesperson said. “Every piece of information helps us protect children and hold offenders accountable.”

As the investigation continues, the Broward Sheriff’s Office is working to ensure that the community remains informed while protecting the privacy and safety of the alleged victims. Meanwhile, the arrest of Exavier marks a critical step in addressing alleged sexual abuse within the school environment and reinforcing the commitment to student safety across Broward County.

This case serves as a reminder to parents, schools, and communities about the importance of monitoring interactions between students and adults in positions of authority, and the vital role law enforcement plays in investigating and prosecuting such crimes.

The BSO urges anyone with information to come forward promptly to ensure that justice can be pursued and additional victims can be protected.
