Thousands across the country prepare to join Coral Springs residents for the no kings protest in downtown areas this Saturday

Coral Springs, Florida – Residents and visitors of Coral Springs are preparing for a “No Kings” protest this Saturday, joining a wave of similar demonstrations happening in cities across the country. The event, organized by Joyful Resistance South Florida, is scheduled to run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of West Sample Road and North University Drive.

Joyful Resistance South Florida was founded by Coral Springs resident Christine Calareso Bleecker, who said the movement seeks to bring attention to what organizers describe as excessive government overreach. “This is a peaceful event meant to encourage dialogue and community engagement,” Bleecker stated.

Organizers are urging participants to come prepared with essentials such as water, sunscreen, and handmade signs, while emphasizing that no weapons are allowed. Coral Springs police and emergency medical personnel will be on site to ensure safety and maintain order throughout the demonstration.

Parking for the protest is available at the City Hall garage. Attendees are reminded that the library parking lot is reserved for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

In addition to the public demonstration, the protest will also serve a charitable purpose. Participants are encouraged to donate diapers to support local families in need, adding a community-focused element to the event.

The “No Kings” movement has drawn attention nationwide, with thousands taking to streets in major cities to voice concerns over government authority and personal freedoms. Organizers hope that the Coral Springs protest will both raise awareness and foster a sense of unity among participants.
